I started off with a bit of colour blocking in the background with the challenge colours... Then I got stuck! What next?
Usually when I sit and wonder "what next", the answer is grunge, grid or chevrons. I picked grid and chevrons!
I sponged black Stazon onto the Chevron background stamp with some sponge daubers and then stamped onto the colour blocked piece. Then I stamped the Off the Grid stamp in white Stazon overtop. The "HI" was cut out with the alphabet bigz die, but before I did that I layered some Whisper White onto that really thick cardboard type material you get in the pack of specialty DSP or Glimmer papers. I wanted the letters to stand out!
That pretty much finished off this card. I debated adding some bling, but thought it might detract too much from the grid!
Do you ever struggle with knowing when to stop? ;)
Time to check out the challenge this week:
Thanks for stopping by today!

ReplyDeleteGreat background Tara! Love how the letters just pop against it. I am definitely going to miss that grid stamp.
ReplyDeleteVery funky and FABulous my friend!
ReplyDeleteLove your bold letters against that background, Tara. Great card!
ReplyDeleteI love how you sponged the chevron and layered the grid! I want to case this! It's so wonderful! Great idea to layer the paper onto the cardboard too - I would just be pulling out my old craft ink and sponging - paper is quicker, neater and crisper. Thanks for your inspiration, my friend.
