You da Bomb for Colour Me...!

Good Wednesday morning!

This week at Colour Me...! we are going playful and using Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Cajun Craze and Tangerine Tango.

I made this card for a colleague of mine who had held me with my computer issues yesterday.

I used the super fun "Boom!" set from Your Next Stamp again (love this set!). It is so playful and versatile.

Please excuse the terrible photos these days - I really need to find a better solution for my photographs, but with the house preparations it appears to be a bit more challenging than I had thought.

Check out the challenge this week:

Thank you for Colour Me...!

This week at Colour Me...! we are going playful and using 4 fun colours; Melon Mambo, Perfect Plum, Tangerine Tango and Pink Pirouette.

I finally broke down and bought this super fun set from Tim Holtz. I'd seen it around blogland for so long and just loved it, so when I spied it at my local craft store I just had to snatch it up.

I can foresee a lot of fun colouring with this set :)

Here's the challenge this week:

And, because I didn't get a chance to post my card from last week, I'll share that one now as well. The sweet image is from 2CuteInk. I just loved how happy-go-lucky she is!

Celebrate with a Bang!

I'm super excited to be hosting over at The Friday Mashup this week!

I have so many fun embellishments that I can spend all day trying to decide which one to use on a project... only to end up not using any! So this week, I've challenged you to make a cluster of embellishments on your card somewhere (and mash it up with some ombre effects if you'd like!)

I started by creating the ombre background with some copics and then got busy with the embellishments. That cute little dynamite dude is from Your Next Stamp's "Boom!" set and is absolutely darling.

I filled up my cluster with a silver glimmer film frame, a start cut from bokeh DSP, a super bright orange arrow, some twine, a few candy dots, and some of the square glimmer bits from the film frame cutout.

Check out the challenge this week:

1. Create a project with an "'Ombre" Element (background, embellishment, etc)"
2. Create a project with an "Embellishment Cluster"
3. or Mash it Up! and Create a project with an "'Ombre' element & embellishment cluster"

Thanks for stopping by today!

(not so) Subtle 'Thanks' for Colour Me...!

Hello! We have a super fun subtle colour combo this week at Colour Me...!. We are also having a Design Team call, so if you or someone you know would like to be part of the Colour Me...! Design Team, please head on over!

Our family went to visit my mom and stepdad this past weekend and we had a blast! The boys were overjoyed to be able to spend 3 days with them.

Mom and I had some girl time too (ie: craft store shopping!) and I got my hands on some new Copics and a few new stamp sets.

I wanted to send her a thank you card for making the weekend so special for us, and since we visited an aquarium while we were there, thought this fun set from Your Next Stamp would be the perfect fit!

Check out the challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping by today!
