I wanted to try out a new technique (new to me, at least) - Embossed embossing. Basically, you heat emboss the raised parts you have after dry embossing. I used the little stitched board you see on the right-hand of the card. I have to say that the hardest part of this technique was trying to decide what embossing folder to you!
I paper-pieced the dress and apron using papers from My Minds Eye. As soon as I saw this stack I knew I would be using it mostly for paper-piecing. I just LOVE the patterns in it! Have a gander at some of the other patterns in the pack :)
Check out this week's mashup challenge:
- Create a project with an "Antique style, element or theme"
- Create a project using the "Embossed Embosing technique" (tutorial here)
- or Mash it Up! and create an "Antique project using the Embossed Embossing technique"
Thanks for stopping by today!
