Color Me... Creative! A 5-colour challenge :)

Good morning! This week at Colour Me...! we are having a special kind of challenge. Every month where there is Wednesday in the month, the 5th week will be an "Anything Goes" challenge using up to 5 colours of your choice!

This is my card this week, using Midnight Muse, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party & Soft Sky!

I finally tried out the Stained Glass technique - I've been wanting to try it for a very long time.

I embossed the gorgeous butterfly with Black on vellum. On the backside, I coloured with the Stampin' Write Markers using all 5 colours.

Colour challenge at The Friday Mashup

Happy Friday!!

A great colour challenge is waiting for you at The Friday Mashup today!

This card is for my grandma for her 90th birthday today!! I always used to say to her that blue and green didn't go together and she would respond "every flower has a green leaf".... meaning everything went with green. So, there you have it. Turns out she's right :P

Here's the challenge for this week!

1. Make a project with the colors "Pacific Point, Marina Mist, Gumball Green, and Lucky Limeade". 
2. Or Make a project using "Rectangles".   
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project with the "Color Combination and Rectangles".

 I ended up using only one rectangle, but I was very caught up in the colour combination! haha

Monochromatic Neutrals

As if I didn't love neutrals enough, the Dynamic Duos team is challenging us to make a monochromatic card using neutrals! Sweet :)

I really enjoyed making this card. I have to say, the Stippled Blossoms stamp set is probably one of my favourite 'floral' sets from the new catalogue. Every colour combo I've tried just looks gorgeous together - even browns!!

It's been a really long time since I whipped out the Top Note die... Sometimes it pays to shuffle through your supplies. Normally I have something in mind and grab the necessities, but today I browsed my stuffs first and came up with the card afterwards!

Dyanmic Duo #3!

Yup, that's right, back again ;)

I finally got the chance to play along with the Dynamic Duos challenge this week, which was to create a card using Basic Black and Daffodil Delight. They were generous enough to offer us dessert, too! If you felt so inclined, use dry embossing on your project.

Friendship

I admit, I might have cheated a bit with the "dry" embossing, since I inked up my Elegant Lines embossing folder with basic black ink before I ran it through the Big Shot. But I've been dying to try this, and it was the perfect colour combination to do it with!

Hello! And welcome to my first post as an official designer for the Friday Mashup :) This week, Lisa has come up with a challenge that is very close to her heart. Please read on here.

Here in Canada we don't recognize Memorial Day*, instead we have Remembrance Day, which is observed on November 11th (official end of World War I on that date in 1918). That being said, Lisa's challenge this week is no less important because I'm a little north of the border.

So Grateful

Our challenge this week was to:

1. Make a project that's "Patriotic or for Remembrance".
2. Or Make a project with the colors " Whisper White, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade & Daffodil Delight."
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Remembrance or Patriotic project using the colors above."
4. Donate your card to a Wounded Solider or that Special Service Member in your Life!

*To be fair, I think Newfoundland (a province within Canada) recognizes Memorial Day, but the celebrations are combined with Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.
