My favourite holiday (by far) is Thanksgiving. I love the weather, I love the family, and I love the food. I find we have a lot more traditions around thanksgiving than we do around Christmas, only because there is more time to relax and enjoy it.
So, I'm starting this week off with a sneak peek of a bunch of fabulous new Thanksgiving products.
I absolutely fell in love with the Truly Grateful stamp set. It has such gorgeous images (the wheat and the acorn) and a fabulous woodgrain/barnboard stamp which can be used to make backgrounds (if of course you're proficient with a Stamp-a-ma-jig!). Here I stamped the background with Sahara Sand on Soft Sky cardstock. I wanted it to be very muted.
The DSP is from the new fall pack, Sweater Weather - the colours in it are absolutely fabulous! I can't wait to be using more of this :)
One of the first things that stood out for me in the catalogue was the Burlap Ribbon. I can't tell you how excited I was to see this. For this card, I trimmed off the edging along the length of it and pulled a few strands out to rough up the edges a bit. I saved those strands for something else...
...tying together the wheat! I had initially used twine, but I loved the crinkle texture from the burlap strands and couldn't resist using those instead.
The Crushed Curry leaf is a die cut that comes with the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit, which gives you everything you need to make an a-m-a-z-i-n-g table setting for your Thanksgiving dinner. I'll be showing more from that kit soon enough!
The acorn is stamped in Chocolate Chip from the same set, Truly Grateful.
The wonderful thing about the Tablescapes set is that the die-cut leaves that are included match the leaves from the Autumn Accents Bigz Die - so you can mix and match to your hearts content. I was thrilled about this.
I hope you enjoyed the first sneak peek! Be sure to check back tomorrow for a brand new project! I've got lots to share :)
Thanks for stopping by!
