Here in Canada we don't recognize Memorial Day*, instead we have Remembrance Day, which is observed on November 11th (official end of World War I on that date in 1918). That being said, Lisa's challenge this week is no less important because I'm a little north of the border.
So Grateful
- Make a project that's "Patriotic or for Remembrance".
- Or Make a project with the colors " Whisper White, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade & Daffodil Delight."
- Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Remembrance or Patriotic project using the colors above."
- Donate your card to a Wounded Solider or that Special Service Member in your Life!

*To be fair, I think Newfoundland (a province within Canada) recognizes Memorial Day, but the celebrations are combined with Canada Day celebrations on July 1st.
I love how you used the bird on your card Tara. I find it a bit big to use on cards, but this is just perfect :)
ReplyDeleteI think your 'dove of peace' style of card is perfect for this challenge Tara.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the team, even though I'm about to exit! You'll love working with these girls.

What a beautiful card Tara! The bird is just stunning against that background and I love the subtle use of the yellow, it really packs a visual punch used like that.
ReplyDeleteHere in the States we celebrate Veterans Day on Nov.11. On that day we recognize all veterans of the military :)
