Guest Designer at Freshly Made Sketches!

Happy Wednesday! :)

Surprise! I was asked to be a Guest Designer with Freshly Made Sketches for the month of May, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I've been playing along with their challenges for quite some time, and I am always so inspired by the design team's fantastic creations. I feel quite honoured to be listed among those ladies for the month :)

My card today is a subtle (yet somehow, also bright!) two-tone friendship card. I've had that 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon for so long and hadn't used it. Now that it's retiring, I've got a couple last minute projects in mind before it disappears for good ;)

    Hey Tara! So glad you're joining us this month! And what a way to rock the first challenge of the month! These gorgeous colors just about jumped off the screen! And I've got a soft spot for butterflies so I think this is fantastic!

    I like the way you used that striped ribbon for one of the panels on the sketch. I'm never any good at using yellow on a card, so always appreciate when someone uses it well. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi Tara, thank you for your kind comment on my blog. Your creation caught my eye as I was looking through the gallery. I love the striped, notched ribbon and the combo of brown and yellow.
