Dynamic Duos!

Hello

I'm so excited that I finally got the chance to sit down and play along with the Dynamic Duos challenge (#1!). And what a wicked way to start out: Pool Party and Lucky Limeade.

My sketch today comes from Craft Project Central's challenge, Creating Pretty Cards #11. If you haven't participated in their monthly challenge yet, be sure to do so!

This is one of the many cards we have stashed away to send to my mom. We try and send her one once a month, and generally I let my son make them for her, but sometimes I just have to take over ;)

It's getting down to the wire on this one! I just checked the RetroSketches challenge and I only had 3 hours and 11 minutes left to get my card in! I'm glad I didn't miss it altogether this week though :)

Craft Project Central #2

It's time for another great project from Craft Project Central! Today's gorgeous gift card set is designed by Laurie Zoellmer at Laurie's Stampin' Spot.

Laurie has used Stampin' Up! fabric, sticky sheets and the Big Shot to create these simple, yet stunning cards and card box. The tutorial includes instructions on making the cards, the box, and coordinating envelopes :)

Guest Designer at Freshly Made Sketches!

Surprise! I was asked to be a Guest Designer with Freshly Made Sketches for the month of May, and I couldn't be more thrilled.

I've been playing along with their challenges for quite some time, and I am always so inspired by the design team's fantastic creations. I feel quite honoured to be listed among those ladies for the month :)

My card today is a subtle (yet somehow, also bright!) two-tone friendship card. I've had that 1-1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon for so long and hadn't used it. Now that it's retiring, I've got a couple last minute projects in mind before it disappears for good ;)

Craft Project Central

I have a soft spot for bird houses. Fortunately, my neighbour has three in her backyard, and she maintains them very well through all seasons. It means I have very little work to do to enjoy the plethora of feathered friends that flock there each day ;)
