Time for a new sketch challenge at
MDS Monday, and Holly has this great one for us - she also wants us to use the brush tool somewhere on our page.
On my page, I used the brush tool to create a background for my pictures. The yellow scribbled part is the brush tool on the biggest brush setting possible and I just freehanded it.
The circle around my photos is actually a thought bubble from the "Hello There" kit that I cropped to remove the bubble parts.
Notice how the paper clip actually goes behind the photo? I grabbed two of them and then cropped the inside of one and put that one on top, and then added the second one behind the photo. It's a small touch, but I really like how it looks.
Time to check out this week's sketch:
We'd love to see what you can do with this sketch! Come visit us at
MDS Monday and see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with!
Thanks for stopping by!

i love how you used the brush tool to make a layer under your photo! clever! I read the challenge wrong and thought we were supposed to use the coloring tool, silly me (i think my brain read brush tool as stamp brush tool). anyway, love how you used the brush and i will definatly be trying that soon!!
ReplyDeleteLove your page! I agree with Beth - you are very clever - I love the background scribble, and how you've made the clip look realistic! You're an inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove the scribble... what a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteLove those adorable pics and how creative to do that background scribble...love the paper clip tricks here too!
ReplyDeleteYour background with the brush tool is awesome! Goes so well with your photos. I really like how your DSP matches the shirt in the photos. Beautiful! =)
