Today at The Friday Mashup, Heidi has a great challenge for us! With a chill in the air, Heidi's encouraging us to grasp on to the last few breaths of warm wind and thinking about Indian Summers (warm days in the typically chilly fall).
Here, it's pretty chilly. Mind you, if we had these exact temperatures in spring we'd all be out in shorts and flip flops, but because it's fall we're bundled up in our sweaters and thinking about mittens :P
**See end of this post for list of supplies**
When I think of "Indian Summer" I think of the word "enjoy". Enjoy it while you can, because soon enough we're going to be shoulder deep in snow (sorry Lisa, I know you love it! haha), wet boots, icicles on our eyelashes and scraping our cars off in the morning praying that we don't pop off a windshield wiper in the process. So... ENJOY!!
Here's our challenge this week:
- Make a "Indian Summer" themed project.
- Or Make a project with any three colors from "Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Raspberry Ripple, Lucky Limeade & Early Espresso".
- Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Indian Summer Themed project with the color combo".
Come play along with Heidi's great challenge this week! Can't wait to see what you create :)
-Tara

You made me laugh with your description of winter... :) I just realized that you aren't too far from me. We always drive up your way on the way to my parents' cabin, which is 3 hours north of North Bay. We didn't get to go this year with my husband's hand surgery. :(
ReplyDeleteBTW, there has been a monthly Buffalo shoebox swap every spring that some Canadians come down for... Not sure if Tracy will have it this year. I'll keep you posted if I hear something. I made the long trek out there one year.
ReplyDeleteHi Tara, I enjoyed reading your thoughts for this card. I love winter and let me tell you that here in Miami, we don't even think of that. Our temperatures are around 77 at night and 85 during the day, can you call that autumn? lol. Your card is lovely!!!I love how you stamped the leaves in the background with the colors of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteHugs ;)
ROFL, I have to say that I am anxiously awaiting the snow and while our mtns have gotten some already, our higher elevations here in the lowlands are due to get some this weekend. I am really hoping to see snowflakes in my area, I cannot lie :)
ReplyDeleteI love the sentiment on your card Tara. My husband doesnt share the same joy for winter as I do so he spends the fall season enjoying the days as much as possible!
Beautiful card!
Can I also mention that if I lived in Miami with Lili that I would never leave the house? ROFL Been there done that with hot temps and I cant take it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat fall card Tara!
