Stick a pin in it!

Let me just put this right out there - I love making vintage cards. In fact, I love vintage altogether. My house has a very odd combination of ultra-modern and antique/vintage decor. I like to think of it as bringing old into the new... but it's probably more that I have commitment issues when it comes to decor elements and style :)

This week at The Friday Mashup, Erica has a great challenge for us! She's got us using a stick pin and creating a vintage card. Yes, please!!

*The hat pin that I used is not Stampin' Up!... It's left over from our wedding. I feel like I've said that before ;) Pretty much the only time I use non-SU product, it's something that's left over from that day.

Hope
 Stamps: Blooming with Kindness, Elements of Style
Colours: Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Embellishments: Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon, Antique brads, Hat pin (non-SU)
Tools: Big Shot, Labels framelits, Scallop Circle punch (small roses)


I'm working on a tutorial for the large floret on this card - I'll be posting it very soon, on a new 'Tips/Techniques/Tutorials" page!

Here's the challenge for you this week.

  1. Make a project with a "Stick Pin on it."
  2. Or Make a "Vintage" project.
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Vintage project with a Stick Pin on it."

    WOW that ribbon flower is so sweet-love that element and the dusty colors make it seem like a card I would find at an antique store. Lovely!

    This is so absolutely gorgeous! I love the stamped flowers in the background and then the rolled flower in front! The ruffles and smaller flowers around the large one are beautiful and really add a softness to the card. Thanks so much for sharing!
