Baby, it's cold outside!

Hello!

It's Friday Mashup day! :) How happy does that make you?! It makes me pretty happy. This week, the Friday Mashup challenge was to:
  1. Make a project featuring "Snowmen".
  2. Or Make a project using the colors "Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze & Basic Grey".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Snowman project with the colors Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze & Basic Grey".
Believe it or not, I don't actually own any snowman stamps! I had borrowed "Punch Pals" from a friend of mine, but I just returned it to her last weekend. I do, however, have the oh-so-pretty Winter Post set, and it seemed to fit perfectly with the colour this week. I just love those skaters.
Christmas Postcard

For this card, I wanted to add a little extra!
1. Get out your glitter!: I didn't want to overdo this card. I wanted to keep it pretty clean looking, and simple. I did, however, want to add a little extra, so I frosted off the hat and cuffs of lil' miss with some Dazzling Diamonds.

2. Stamp off!:Add a faint background image to your cards with the 'stamping off' technique. The snowflake in the background of my card were inked up in Baja Breeze, and then stamped on a scrap piece of paper (twice!) and then stamped onto my card. It gives you a faint background, and the colours still coordinate perfectly!


The supplies I used for this card were:

Cardstock: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Stamps: Winter Post
Ink: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride
Embellishments: Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

    Tara, I love the stamped off snowflakes in the background, they fill some of the white space without overpowering your clean card. Lovely.

    I love this stamp set, and you've used it wonderfully here to get an old time feel to it while using some more modern colors. Wonderful!

    I have to wonder, am I one of the few that has a huge stash of snowman stamps? LOL
