Fun with patterns at The Friday Mashup!

Good morning, friends!

This morning we have a really fun Friday Mashup challenge from Amy. She's got us using fab colours and patterns!

Part of the mashup was to choose three or more of the suggested colours. I stuck with just the three... No surprise here, but I chose Sahara Sand (my all-time favourite neutral), Summer Starfruit (a colour I've been forcing myself to love, and now do!) and Tangerine Tango.

I can't get enough of the new SAB DSP so I used it to create a fun little flag banner. And the Soda Pop tops?! Ok, so maybe it's not going to be easy to mail, but who cares when it's that cute? I used the new paper-piercing pack as well to give something extra to the blossom punch.

1. Make a project using "Different Patterns".
2. Or Make a project with the three or more colors from "Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand".
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Patterned Project with the Challenge Colors".

Sunday Stamps goes digital (for me, anyways!)

I do a lot of Digital scrapbooking, but not tons of digital cardmaking. I thought for this week's challenge at Sunday Stamps I would whip up a fun, lighthearted wedding card. Generally, I like to make wedding cards really 'over-the-top' and embellish like crazy, but I wanted something playful this time.

Feelin' the Love

I started the morning out with a paper cut. The good news is, I got the paper cut when I was opening my birthday present from my sons! :) Today, I hit the big Three-Oh, and I have to admit, I'm kind of excited about it!

I had a great morning surrounded by the ones I love, and got spoiled like crazy... so Liliana's challenge for this week at The Friday Mashup is very fitting - hearts and a sketch. Here's my take:

I had a lot of fun with this card! I love the Storytime DSP, and was going to save the entire pack to use for my son's school scrapbook, but decided that I could steal this sweet little image of two friends blowing bubbles.

The wait is over, the Spring Catalogue is finally here!

I hope that you all enjoyed the Sneak Peek projects over the last week. They were intended to show you some of the fabulous new product in the Spring Catalogue and give you some ideas on how to use them.

Spring Catalogue Sneak Peek Week - Project #5

Eeee, only one more sleep until the new Spring Catalogue goes live!

Here's another little sneak peek for you:

I have to admit, I really love this one. This Sale-a-Bration paper is to die for. As if the fun patterns and colours weren't enough, it has Sahara Sand! Sahara Sand has always been my favourite neutral, and I always had my fingers crossed that there would be a fabulous DSP featuring this colour. Again, Stampin' Up! does not disappoint :)

For this card, I cut 4 different patterns from the Sycamore Street DSP from SAB and did faux stitching around the edges of each of them. I layered them on to Whisper White cardstock and layered that onto an Island Indigo card base.

Everything on this card is new - let me give you a quick list: Paper Doily (background), Crepe Filter Paper (multiple layers to create the flower), Sycamore Street button (SAB), Delicate Details Lace Tape (peeking out from under the sentiment), Oh, Hello stamp set and last but not least, Canvas Creations (for the sentiment).

Digital Tuesday and Sneak Peek Week - Project #4!

Happy New Year, my friends! I hope you all had a wonderful time ringing in the new year, however you chose to do it, and I wish you nothing but love and happiness for the coming year :)

Today is an exciting day for Digital! For starters, it's Digital Tuesday, where I show you the latest downloads from Stampin' Up! (and there's a free one this week as well!), and I'm also going to share Project #4 for the Spring Catalogue Sneak Peek Week.

Here's a bit of my project featuring the new Content Disc Lemonade Stand. It is SO pretty and comes with so many designer templates ready for you to pop your pictures into. That's what I did for the most part, and added a few extra embellishments here and there:
